Council Committees

There are six committees:  Police, Water and Sewer, Finance, Parks and Recreation, Public works and  Public Buildings and Welfare.  These committees are described in detail below. The proper committee will determine if the matter can be taken care of administratively or if it is a matter that must go before Town Council for consideration. Anyone who voices a concern or has an issue to discuss will be invited to the Council Committee meeting and/or Town Council meeting when that issue is to be discussed. Any matter of interest or concern can be placed on the Town Council agenda by contacting Lesley King at 757-365-9506. Council Committee Meetings are held on the fourth Monday and Tuesday of each month (unless otherwise noted) in Conference Rooms C & D at the Smithfield Center.
